Creative Exploration
2022 – ongoing
Design, Photography, Illustration
These interdisciplinary experiences have deeply shaped my time at Wesleyan, especially as an Economics major who has discovered so much joy in creative work. Through IDEAS classes, student forums, and hands-on projects, I have been able to explore design, digital drawing, poster making, moodboards, physical prototyping, and video game concepts in ways that opened new paths for me. Outside of class, I have also worked on creative projects for Wesleyan’s fashion magazine as both a model and creative director, and explored music and mixing in other creative spaces, all of which have helped me grow more confident in how I express ideas across different mediums. Even though I did not come in with strong technical skills, these experiences taught me that curiosity, taste, and a willingness to learn can carry you far. AI has also become a helpful part of my process, especially in early prototyping, where it helps me translate ideas into forms I can build on. Overall, my time at Wesleyan has been incredibly fulfilling, and these experiences have expanded the way I think about design, collaboration, and the kind of creative future I want for myself.
